Dimensions (frame): 59 x 79 cm. Dimensions (work): 56 x 76 cm. Speedy graphito, pseudonym of olive ricezo, is a French painter born in 1961, making the junction between free figuration and the street art scene of the 1980s.

A precursor artist, recognized as one of the pioneers of the street art movement in France. After studying art at the Estienne school in Paris and a very brief career as a maquettist-artist-artist-artist-graphical advertising, he joined the collective x-moulinx in 1983, which he left the following year.

To express and share his art, he invades the betting streets of his graffiti, executed with stencil or brush, representing schematic and dynamic characters (e. 1985 marks a decisive turning point in his career. He took part in the first gathering of the graffiti and urban art movement in Bondy (Île-de-france), at the initiative of the vlp, with miss tic, jef aerosol, sp 38, suburb-banlieue, blek le rat, futura 2000, nuklé-art, epsylon point in the same year, he won a poster contest, organized by the Ministry of Culture for "the month at the museum", with his work, the rush to art (a horseman on a cambered horse), which immediately propelled him under the spotlight. "Imaging speedy" including his little red diablotins (commercialized on postcards) and his character fetishes the famous rabbit.

Rabbit is everywhere and everyone wants rabbit. Speedy graphito explores all media, and his works take on different aspects.

If painting remains his favourite ground, he practices and addresses other dimensions of art such as sculpture, photography, video art and digital art (welcome to come, 2000). Performing in the soul since its beginnings, he also paints many walls and canvases live at festivals, fairs, auctions and exhibitions.

The artist reinvents himself over time, staying tuned to society and what it releases. The omnipresence of the Internet, advertising brands or consumerism become its muses. Popular culture, the collective memory of the people, inspires him, like pop iconography, comics, disney, but also tetris video games: see his intervention on the wall (urban art) in October 2010. The artefacts of this "pop culture" which are beginning to be obsolete, thus find a kind of second youth, in a new, more contemporary universe. Currently, he is going through a new period, inspired by great masters like van Gogh, mondiran, dali, miro...

Who have brought forth his love of art. He pays tribute to them through his paintings, incorporating them into his own painting and personal culture. The painter then mixes the styles, techniques and movements that built him to create his own history of art. In 2014, he exhibited with jean-jacques deleval and errò to the soisson arsenal.

In 2016, he achieved his best public betting auction record, confirming that urban art took an important place in the contemporary art market. The year 2016 marks his debut at the museum with his retrospective at the museum of touquet followed in 2018 by a retrospective at the Palais du Tau, a French national monument, and who knows what the suite holds for him.
