Brief biographical and artistic notes. Salvador dali is undoubtedly one of the greatest pioneers of the surrealist style of painting. His work was revolutionary and influenced hundreds of painters who succeeded him. According to critics, the art of dali takes the viewer to the depths of his subconscious, in a surreal world with many fantastic images.

Dali has influenced many leading artists and sculptors to move away from traditional and repetitive creative styles. It has done so much that many art specialists around the world claim that dali is one of the major figures in the aesthetics of the 20th century. Dali was born on May 11, 1904, in Spain.

His father salvador dali i cusi was a lawyer and his mother felipa domenech ferres was a housewife. From childhood, he was very arrogant and intelligent. His relationship with his father was not very good, while his mother always congratulated him.

When he learned that his family regarded him as the reincarnation of his deceased older brother, his artistic scene took a transcendental turn. This incident helped him become a surrealist artist. Dali's parents praised his talent. They set up a workshop for him and enrolled him in a drawing school in 1916. He was very irregular at school. His father organized an exhibition for him in 1919. In 1922 he was admitted to a famous art institute in madrid. He learns Cubism and Dadaism.

The academy suspended him in 1923 for his association with anti-establishment activities, although he was not so associated with politics. Although he returned to the academy in 1926, he was permanently suspended for his cynical attitude towards his teachers.

After this incident, dali goes to bets and meets pablo picasso. It abandons the classical style and is inspired by picasso.

His works are beginning to become popular. In 1931, dali painted his famous painting "the persistence of memory", which became his emblem. Her surreal style has become more remarkable.

Although he supported Franco as leader of Spain, he remained in the United States during the Second World War. After the end of the war, dali returned to Spain and began experimenting with more inventive works that would later influence pop art. In the 1960s, he worked for the museum and the dali theatre of figueres.

Elephants, the premonition of civil war, the metamorphosis of narcissus, the evening spider, the temptation of holy antoine, etc. His works of art did not take a wrinkle. Salvador dali died on 23 January 1989. His grave is in his hometown of figueres.
