Of Polish descent, Rolf Rafflewski began drawing and painting in 1955. He received training as a graphic artist at the School of Graphic Arts in Frankfurt before establishing his own advertising painting studio. In 1970, he started practicing lithography with Vision Nouvelle editions. As a painter and lithographer of landscapes, his work focuses on Paris, the castles of the Loire, Normandy, the French Riviera, Venice, and New York. This piece depicts Claude Monet's house in Giverny, signed by the artist in pencil.
