This splendid lithograph shows an indoor scene: an aquarium with two fish is on a crate next to a very beautiful vase of colorful flowers. The atmosphere is suspended and enchanted: the objects remind us of a human presence that is absent, but that we can almost perceive.

The scene is represented in the cubist style: the sense of perspective and reality give way to a typically geometric representation of reality. The work is taken from the portfolio "A Methodical Adventure" V. Lithograph signed in the plate.
