His figurative painting is dominated by dark colors such as black and navy blue. His favorite themes are portraits (human or animal like in this litho). He was trained in 1935 at the School of Fine Arts of Athenes. It integrates the precepts of the cobra movement with alechinsky, alger jorn, crow, karel call and Christian dotremont in particular. He will exhibit alongside Arman, Baj, Matta, Magnelli and Lapicque among others.

His works are preserved in the largest modern art museums, the Galliera Museum in Paris in 1974 and the randers kunstmuseum in the danemark will devote retrospective exhibitions to him.
