GUILLET Casino de Monte-Carlo: Messaline, 1899. On fine vellum 39.5 x 29 cm approx. 15.5 x 11.5 in. Authenticated by the dry stamp of the publisher "Les Maîtres de l'affiche" and "Imprimerie Chaix".

This lithograph was published by Les Maîtres de l'Affiche in the Imprimerie Chaix. It was part of the eponymous portfolio (plate no. 187) which featured the most beautiful illustrated posters by the great artists of the time. Lithograph of the poster for the performance of the opera "Messaline" at the Casino de Monte-Carlo, 1889.

This is indeed the original edition, not a modern reprint.
