Daniel Pandini Original Lithograph Signed at the bottom right. When asked to comment on his work, Daniel Pandini remains silent.
He prefers to discuss how he creates rather than why. His foldings, his paintings, his collages—these are the subjects he enjoys talking about, leaving observers the freedom to interpret his works. Nevertheless, the impression that emanates from the reliefs suggests that the creator wanted to tell a story. Thus, Daniel Pandini cultivates paradox.
"He says, for example, that he is a figurative painter, that it is the image that interests him, telling stories by making the different parts of the work interact with each other," comments Manuel Jover. A rather unexpected narration through the abstract nature of the works. Daniel Pandini is a surprising, bewildering artist, as much as these assembled wooden boards.
"From the canvas, Pandini breaks and folds the planes, trims or sharpens the angles (which are never 'dead'), transforms the edges into real edges, but preserves the heart and intimate folds where painting takes place, of which painting is made.
