Many posters, or lithographs from the. Personal collection of an art printer. [art of xxe - abstract art - original lithography]. Painter, tapestry designer, ceramist, mosaïst, illustrator. Bernard pomey, born on 8 July 1928 in firminy and died on 23 September 1959.

In Paris, is a French painter. In 1945 bernard pomey made his novitiate at the Oblate seminary. From marie-immaculatee to pontmain (Mayenne). In 1947 he enrolled in the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts de paris in the workshop. From 1948 to 1950, he completed his apprenticeship at the center of sacred art in Paris, led by jacques le Chevallier.

In 1953 he participated in the exhibition celebrities and revelations of contemporary painting at the Galliera Museum in Paris. He made the tapestry crucifixion for the congregation of the bear of the providence of Saint andre de peltre destined for the chapel of the holy andre hospital in metz.

The state ordered him two tapestries garden of urania (1949) and souvenir of the unicorn lady (1954), preserved in national furniture. In 1957 the caisse des dépôts et consignations ordered him a mosaic basin with neuilly-sur-seine. He died prematurely at 31 years of age, leaving an opening consisting of about 100 canvases, about 800 drawings, watercolours and gouaches, about 30 cardboard tapestry, about 100 ceramics.

Between 1947 and 1956 his style was figurative. He paints landscapes, still lifes, portraits. In addition to painting, he creates tapestry cartons, ceramics, mosaics and stained glass with religious motifs and illustrates in the form of illuminated miniatures the apocalypse of Saint Jean the evangelist. Around 1957 he made semi-figurative paintings such as great blue musicians and great orange musicians. At the beginning of 1958 he approached abstraction with works such as albi. In 1959 he moved to tachism, composed cementous supports based on sand for his canvases and painted three suites of canvases: gaia, of which gaia 166, selia and helia. Then it is the final series of gouaches inspired by the spiritual song of Saint Jean de la Croix. His works are preserved in the public collections of betting (cnap7, national furniture, modern art museum of the city of betting, hunting museum) and at Aubusson in the international city of tapestry. Beautiful lithography in shades of black and grey. Dated and signed by the artist in stone, not justified. (normally the print run is 275 copies). Beautiful thick paper of type watermarked arches. Format of the sheet about. 76 x 55.5 cm. Very clean and fresh copy, barely yellowed paper.

Minimum usual inevitable traces of various manipulation. Light folds various on edges, corners, etc..
